Hi,

I'm looking for a list of domain names that are deleted each day, similar to www.deleteddomains.com but with .co.uk

Any help is appreciated,

Cheers,

Paul

This doesn't exist anywhere. It's a common request on many .co.uk domain discussion forums.

There are 2 reasons why nobody is offering such a tool/service:-

A) It's not possible to download a list of all domains from Nominet, and therefore it's impossible to find out which domains are being expired/deleted each day since there's no raw material to "compare" (how would the person compiling the list know that fgjjss45.co.uk - fictional example - was a registered domain without having access to a list of all domains?)

B) Nominet (.co.uk oversight body) is very zealous and aggressive about protecting their intellectual property and they have aggressively come down on the (very) few sites that have tried to manually produce such lists and in every single case have successfully persuaded them to stop offering them

Thanks Edwin, that would explain why I can't find any!

Any list of names that are available, will be useless by the time you get it. If a name is worth having the 'drop-catchers' will already have taken it, before WHOIS shows that it is available.

You can predict which domains will soon be available, by running a list through WHOIS, every few days. Then note when a domain goes from 'Detagged' to 'Suspended'. 6-8 weeks later it will be dropped. There are all sorts of fun tactics for catching them.

But it's too late for that (if you haven't started), because Nominet have already changed the way it works.

To play this game, you do need a lot of programming knowledge and several computers working 24/7.
