Firstly I am chasing several .co.uk that are in a detagged state with nominet, ive contacted them about it and they have given me a good response although it doesnt help at the moment

A few years back a UK company called freenetname were doing free domains, people registered a few but upon renewal noone bothered as their rates were quite high

So there are domains which have been detagged for nearly 2 years, they are pointing nowhere, yet nominet still wont properly release them, although they say they are working on a new system where if they dont hear within 6 weeks the domain will be available

So this leads to my question, without manually doing a whois every day are there any good domain watching services, hopefully free.

I found a perl script one and managed to fudge it slightly to run off a local linux box, it wasnt that reliable though.
Preferrably one that does a whois every day, and mails you when its available :) :)

Also are there any good lists of recently expired .UK domains , they are so much cheaper than .coms (although any other of these sites are appreciated, ive found deleteddomains.com which seems ok)
