I am looking for other peoples experiences with the popular expired / expiring domain name pre-registration services.

I love NameBully.com , they are cheap and have gotten just about every name I try with them.. I just read a news article on them so i am afraid that there will soon be others beating me to the namebully punch.

I do not like Expirefish at all... I have several names and they have come and gone and they don;t even acknowledge that the name has been taken buy someone else..

I havent tried snapnames yet, they seem really good and will probably be my next choice..it is just that they are much more expensive than namebully is..and namebully has been working great for me.. I was just thinking of alternatives in case someone else registers it through namebully first... what do I do..

Regards
B Johnson

try pool.com & namewinner.com you should not need anything else :)

** edit **
I just visited NameBully.com and I don't understand...

## From what I understand they are saying that if they are not able to acquire the domain, then they will give you free domain name (any available of your choice) and you still get to keep 28 buck as credit in your account for another name.

Now if I am not wrong.. there are like tons of companies out there trying to grab the name... so the % of NameBully.com getting the domain is less than 5.. and just how do they survive?

Can anyone please help me.

And the interesting thing is.. NameBully.com seems to be hosted by GoDaddy.. (I think).. now I am even more confused...

I am not sure to be honest with you.

I have used them for 3 expiring names and it worked 2 out of the three times..

As far as the free domain name.. yes they gave me a free domain name the one time they couldn't get my first domain name registered.

It seems like a great deal to me, but I don't think they give you a free domain name everytime..

I read it as you spend $28 for the service, if they dont get you your domain name then they give you an additional free name and you still have your $28 to apply to another domain name.

Now if you pick another domain name and they don;t get it for you then I don't think that you get another free domain name... but you will once again still have your $28 to try again...

So I took it as they are basically giving you 2 domain names for that price if they can;t get your first choice for you.

But then again I may be wrong..

Works for me... until I find somethng better

It's just simple math...

Registering a domain name through godaddy is $9, and getting gd to grab an expiring name for you is $19...

It just seems as though the $28 is the addition of the two might be a very very large coincidence...

When you say hosted by GoDaddy, my question is 'how deep is the relationship?' Just a thought based on no research though.

well from what I see... they have a reseller account at GoDaddy.. also in addition, why would I wanna use them, when I can directly use GoDaddy and pay less.

But most important.. GoDaddy has yet to grab a good name for me.. I would say.. if someone wants to grab the name.. try pool and namewinner..
