Which company did you register your domains with?

Just doing a survey here...

I am with Network Solutions & DirectNIC. I was wondering what domain registrar you domain experts are sticking with. And what features/services should I look for when deciding a domain registrar?

Thanks!

One of clients is having a right nightmare trying to get oneandone.co.uk to release his domain. They said one week to release first and now its another 2 weeks. not good in my books.

Despite the price paid at netsol I found their customer service to be intolerably slow.

I ended up moving to one of the many IYD resellers since the 8.88 price point was the cheapest at the time. Their interface is nice and easy to use and I also get free URL forwarding and email forwarding these days as well.

These days of course 8.88 doesn't really rate. I did a study recently of domain name registration prices for an article I was writing and they're not even in the top 10 any more.

As a general observation though, anyone selling at under $6.75 is doing so at a loss - and even more of a l
oss if they then have to provide any customer service to you. Take a good hard look at what you are signing up for and read the fine print. A prime example of this is a certain reseller offering domains for $5.95 each. They seldom respond to emails, have a marketing policy built around spam, and they make up for the loss on domain name sales by automatically signing you up for $40/mo worth of "value added" services per domain.

Ouch.

Another oneandone.co.uk vote here - wish my ISP didn't charge something like £100+ for pretty much the same thing they charge £3 for...

Started w/ Dotster and then moved to Godaddy for a slightly better price and as recommended by a friend. No complaints w/ Dotster, but they made me feel guilty for making the switch!
