If CSS3 becomes an official spec before I die (I'm 25 so I cautiously optimistic) it will bring with it multiple background image support. It's absolutely essential for dynamic layouts to support corner images for example.

I have one question...I'm not seeing anything in regards to z-index for the background images. If you have four corner bg-images that greater then 25x25px in dimension each for a div that is statically set to 100x100px then how would one control the depth of each image?

Taken from that link you spec'd:

The first image in the list is the layer closest to the user, the next one is painted behind the first, and so on.

I'm guessing that's z-index by order of declaration... anybody know for certain?

Ok, I didn't spot that...how much do people want to bet in twelve years that Microsoft employees won't spot that either? :-\
