Hi everyone I wonder if any of you could help me.

This is my first crack at CSS so apologies for the dodgy code!

I've designed a site and I'm now in the building stage and I've come to a problem. I want the footer to stay at the bottom of the browser and move up and down when the window is resized. I've seen some solutions but they were for sites that are left aligned mine is sort of center aligned.

<No URLs, thanks. See TOS [WebmasterWorld.com] and CSS Forum Charter [WebmasterWorld.com]>

I need the left-hand green to scale down to the bottom and for it to also scale across. Is there a way? I've torn all my hair out and I'm now on the verge to tearing my scalp off!

Thanks for your help.

Hi mrdogcat
A few suggestions here, if you can still remove the link to your site, please remove it as per the charter [webmasterworld.com] for the css forum.
Next, I suggest that you validate [validator.w3.org] your page as it is not validating right now.

It could be that you have some incorrect code right now that is causing your page to not work.

Then what you wil need to do as well is validate your css.

Once you have done this, then read the charter on how to post your code for us to view.

hope this helps a bit. btw, the validator is an excellent teacher while learning. I have learned a good bit by using it for the css and for the xhtml/html. ;)

Welcome to WebmasterWorld! [WebmasterWorld.com]

This is a quite common problem -- how to get your columns to stretch all the way to the bottom, while keeping a footer at the bottom of the page at all times.

There have been several discussions in this forum in the past, which I'm sure you will find if you look through the forum library [webmasterworld.com] or perform a site search [webmasterworld.com].

If you would not mind elaborating just a tad bit more on what exactly you are trying to accomplish, I'm sure we'll be able to find a thread which discusses what you are looking for. :)
