I purchasing a CMS that recommends CSS-P over using tables. I have never developed using CSS-P. Can I convert an HTML document with tables to CSS-P? Not sure were to start.

You'll probably want to pick up a book. I believe the book by Eric Meyer Eric Meyer on CSS: Mastering the Language of Web Design [amazon.com] includes examples of converting tables to CSS.

for a quick guide have a look at "CSS in easy steps" by Mike McGrath - £10.99, or try local library. Less than 200 pages and easy to take in - enough to be up and running quickly

A good resource is www.w3schools.com/. Includes a very easy to follow css tutorial with examples.
