problem when posted to server

common? looks different from local file

Working on a project, finally got almost all css working properly. It looks great in ff and ie on my mac. When I put the site up to the client server, the footer area got all screwed up -- in ie -- still on my mac. Is this common to look different when editing locally and when posted to a server?
ff once posted looks fine still.

Dumb. . . it was a cache issue! Sorry.

I do another question though. There is an image set to absolute, that resides with the main container set to relative. I have dimensions for where the image should appear, and works great in ff. It looks good in ie mac. ns win looks good. ie6 pc doesn't appear to show it all.
I've been researching in books and online and not finding info. Any ideas?
