it is generally recommended to have your stylesheets (any referenced files actually) external to keep file sizes down. But when testing my advice is to use embedded (in the head of the document) stylesheets as changes are instant and not affected by caching..
Can I get a little feedback on how to best implement CSS into my homepage
we don't do "site reviews" here at WebmasterWorld, but again general advice is to start off with what you know, perhaps removing any font styling and inline styles to an external (or embedded) stylesheet then add to it as you learn, trimming your HTML as you go
and if you then have a more specific question feel free to post code ~ and remember we don't bite :)
