Setting the Underline Gap?

Hi guys,

I made my links get underlined when they are hovered but the underline goes right through the bottom of letters like 'g' and it doesn't seem right.

Can I fix that?

Maybe it's because I'm using font-size: small? I never noticed it before I changed that.

I wonder why it does that now.

One thing you can do is use a bottom border instead of underline.
