Printer Style Sheets?

:: Fit text on the page ::

I have been trying to create a printable version for the site I am working on. I am so close to getting the look I want using two different styles, one for screen and one for print. It allowed me to hide the images that I don't want to print.

The only problem is that it cuts the text off that is to the right of the page. Is there a way to have all the text align to the left of the page?

The best way to explain it might be to have you go to:
<No URLs, thanks. See TOS [WebmasterWorld.com] and CSS Forum Charter [WebmasterWorld.com]>

Thank you for any help you can give me.

I took a peek using Firefox and frankly there is too much wrong for me to even start.

BTW. URLs are against forum posting rules, if you don't remove it a mod will.

Hi cwb2 - Welcome to WebmasterWorld

you could just set your left column to display none, but it's a table cell (see I peeked too ;)) so that won't work, you could set different widths to your table cells in your print sheet but that may be too complex?

My suggestion is to set your table to 100% wide in the print stylesheet rather than a fixed width so then at least the text should fit on the page..

if you can post a stripped down version of your table code/structure, (content not important, but with the dimensions intact) maybe someone else can be more specific, I gotta rush out

Thanks
