display:inline (form) works in IE but not in Netscape

I have to display several buttons next to each other (in one line) - but every button has its own form-tag.

Works nicely in IE with form style = "display:inline;".

Just looked at the page in Neetscape 7: this own inserts a line break between the buttons/forms

Does anybody know another way to place forms next to each other (without using a table and putting every form into its own cell)

display:inline; and a relative or absolute width, or give the forms a width and float them.

My notes on display: inline; for NN6+ say :
It treats such an element as inline relative to the content before it (expected), but puts a linefeed after the element (not expected.) So it wont work happily at all.

You can surround the table with a form, and pop each button in a cell- yes?
