im DESPERATE!

ive looked everwhere, google. all teh site on css layout there is, but nowhere is this to be found!

i need to knwo how to make a div expand with content. i have a container div, and i need this to expand to contain the content and menu divs as they expand. also if i set menu height to 100%, any way of getting the container to expand to accomadate to this, there is no absolute positioning, only floated elements..

please somebody help me...im going NUTS!

You've got several threads open...are they all the same questions?

I noticed this in this particular post...

there is no absolute positioning, only floated elements.

..and don't know if I, or anyone else has asked this, but is the container <div> that holds these floated elements floated, as well? If not, there's a good chance that setting it float will solve your problems.

what about using max-height and/or min-height?
(only problem, not working on ...? IE, of course!)

no not the same problem,,,

well, i had to compromise the design a bit but i got something im happy with. have to try min-height, but my site is aimed mostly ie.....:(

anyways, hope that css3 will ahev some way of controlling thsi (and that browsers will implement propery as well, tough i doubt it.)
