This site...

...is not particularly happy with w3schools for various reasons.

Instead they recommend these sites...
  1. HTML Dog [htmldog.com]
  2. Opera Web Standards Curriculum [dev.opera.com]
  3. Google's HTML, CSS, and Javascript from the Ground Up [code.google.com]
  4. SitePoint Reference [reference.sitepoint.com]
  5. The MDC(Mozilla's Doc Center) [developer.mozilla.org]

...as being more reputable sources. ;)

No problem, you're very welcome. ;)

Also note that a google search using this...

css font-size -w3schools

...will remove that site from the search. :)

Heh. Gotta confess I've never actually dealt with w3c's CSS tutorial, it just seemed a safe link. What I do have bookmarked-- and use often-- is the Index:

[w3.org...]

(The page title says CSS2, but they just do it to confuse you. It's 2.1.)

Once you've got the general ideas in place-- which is a matter of days at most-- all you really need is the exact wording and terminology. So far, the CSS3 equivalent seems to be in scattered pieces so I don't have a comprehensive bookmark.
