100% height and overflow

Hello,
this is a imitation of my web <snip>, as you can see, in the bottom there's two images that are out of the background. I would like to know the reason, I put height 100% to cover all the content include between div tag.

by specifying a height you have restricted the display area - when a height or width is specified the default behaviour is to overflow, that's what you are seeing
