Vertical Spry bar will not position in IE

banging my head against a wall...and prolly overlooking the something really easy/ stupid but

building a vertical spry menu bar. looks great in Chrome and firefox but IE is being problematic (i know...your shocked).

the sub menus in Firefox and Chrome are positioning where i need them to (to the left of the nav bar and raised up so they fit on the screen without scrolling) but in IE they do show up on the left like i want them to but they are not raising up...they just come off the left side and drop down. i will post the spry css. if you need more let me know. got it...to get it to look the same in IE and all the good browsers it took two different style sheets. most things in them are fairly close but just enough minor changes that it was easiest to use two sheets...a fair amount of bourbon and a good amount of cussin'
