Do you think CSS frameworks are a hindrance or a godsend?

Just wondering?

I am on the fence right now. It does save me a lot of time, but is the unnecessary bloat worth it

What about in the future...any unforeseen catastrophes CSS framework will create?

A lot depends on the quality of the code used.

Parser hacks, irrelevant code added for legacy IE versions, etc: it'll all be troublesome in the long run.

The worst however with code dumped into your lap s that if/when somehtign "breaks", fixing it becomes a nightmare compared to when you made it from scratch yourself.
