could someone give me a hint as to why it shows messed up in firefox? I assume you'll just look at the page source? If you need more info, let me know!

Please note we don't do URLs to personal sites out here. And that means you'd need to reduce the problem a bit nd then post minimal code exhibiting the problem.
Now most of us out here tackle the IE problem differently: we develop in a standards compliant browser (I don't even open it in legacy IE versions at all till it's done).
Finding and working around the IE problems is much easier than fixing code relying on the bugs of IE to do what the coder intended.
Still if you describe your trouble a bit in words we might figure out what's up with your code.
