menu pills not active

this is a joomla site and i have limited access to the css, i can change existing or delete with no display but can't add new rulesets

the last 3 pills on the right do not select. it does not change with the total number of pills, ie, if there were 5 total only the left 2 would select.

i think it may be an area issue, if you look close, the last pill with access is contact, but only on the left side of it, so that seems to be the cutoff point, no matter how many pills, however, going through every level in firebug, i'm not seeing any defined space that would cut off there.

actually just noticed its not the number of pills at all, menu selection doesn't extend to the right past the 'd' in the work 'and' in the graphic just above the menu line. so whatever pill happens to be under there will be the last one that can be selected. sorry about the confusion
