Drop down menu with custom png tabs, anybody?

Hi, basically i'm currently obsessed with transparent png's. I have made my tabs in various sizes to house the menu text (because the sliding door technique won't work with transparent images as the corner images will only overlap of course)

How could I make a 2 level drop down from a couple of the tabs in the middle, that are of equal size (if that helps at all)

Hopefully I can solve this problem or i'm going to move on to a compromise which will involve rounded transparent corners on to opaque tabs, so the background can show through.

Thanks a lot,

Nick

Sorry, but I have a hard time understanding this.

You have a menu that you want to have a rollOver action that drops down other subcategories? And everything is a PNG?

something like this? <snip> where the menu is 100% transparent tho?

I found it hard to explain it but I made the mouseover tabs in photoshop which are transparent and sit along the top. Basically I would like to have a css drop down descending from a couple my png tabs?

I'm afraid that it's is going to be too difficult and take too long to explain the ins and outs of a multi level CSS menu especially if you've created your own custom navigation style. If I were you I would start off searching for CSS menus and look at some of the examples which already show you the hows and whys.

I've been looking all day today, did a couple of tutorials and i'm starting to grasp the concept of it (sort of).

How hard would it be to insert an image in some flyouts?
Could it just be a background image contained within it...
