Transparent PNG's on a tiled background?

I heard there might not be a javascript work around for transparents pngs on a tiled background, can anyone shed light on this?

You don't actually say what problem you're trying to solve ;) Is it the edges of the PNG not blending with the tiled background?

Use a PNG with alpha transparency. IE6 needs a fix [webmasterworld.com] as it doesn't support alpha transparency, but it will work ok in modern browsers,

I heard that theres a bug with transparent pngs on tiled backgrounds that's all... (or maybe it was tiled png's I don't know) I'm currently trying to find the best way for the bloody IE to display my png's correctly...
