There's a question if our sites are ready for it.
I'd like to think I'm as ready as I can be:
I'm trying to see the half full glass (it's far more standards complaint) and not the half empty glass (it's got that backward compatibility mode with their legacy browsers, users won't update to it, more versions to test, ...).
In the end the success is most likely to be told by statistics on how widespread the new version is actually used, and if it can wipe out the installed base of IE6 and IE7.
What preparations do you have in place for IE8 ?
Just checked my logs 23.5% of my users still use IE6 so its going to be a while!
the authenticity of your statement is funny; if ie8 promises to crash as much as ie7 did shortly after its launch, you could count me in as one of those ie7 installs that haven't been 'wiped out.' i only upgraded last december.
what would you guys think of adding some type of feedback form where people could report bugs? the only issue i would have is that it could take away from other call to action items. thoughts?
