CSS style sheet error?

Hi, I believe that this may be a CSS style sheet error... any advice would be most welcome. I use Microsoft Expression Web 2 and using a Dynamic Web Template. The 'problem' arises when I load a page from my website and for a split second a line of text that is at the bottom of the DWT gets displayed for a 'split second' at the top part of the screen over the top of the correct text and then the web page shows correctly. This doesn't seem to occur once I have visited the page and I guess is then in the cached files. I only noticed the problem when visiting my website from another computer. The web pages are W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional. The style type is text/CSS.
Has anyone any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks :)

First stop should be to validate. Have you done that yet? There is a thread pinned to the top of the CSS forum titled CSS Troubleshooting refresher [webmasterworld.com] that may prove helpful as well.

Hi, I have now managed to resolve this.. using an external CSS style sheet. Many thanks for advice given.
