CSS image rollovers

Hello,

Just looking for a professional opinion here, I'm wondering if something similar to the folloing link (<snip>link to highly graphical flash based mouse overs removed</snip>) can be developed using CSS image rollovers? If so, could anyone point me to online resources?

I would normally think of using flash or javascript, but our organization doesn't support either, and I'm despearately trying to improvise something in CSS for the short term.

maybe this older thread has what you seek. Just remember that it's rectangular areas only...
