Hi folks,

I've just started using a nice fixed header and footer on my site using some lovely pure css and no frames. It's great.

My problem is that I have a lot of pdf documents on my site for viewing, at present I have all links to pdf docs set to open in a new browser window/tab. Of course then I loose my menu in my fixed header, I'm wondering if there is a way to get round this and be able to displey any pdf docs whilst retianing my header and footer?

Any help much appreciated.
Cheers

I'd consider pdf something you want the visitor to keep or print, not something you want to display (serve it in html till they want to keep it).

Anyway:
How a browser handles pdf varies a lot depending on brand/type of browser/reader or installed plugins. It's not so easy to predict, let alone control what will happen.
