I've been reading the usual list apart articles on drop shadows...they all refer to shadows on images. Also read a few articles on drop shadows on div's...but they don't work well on ie (not cross browser).

Is there a standard to apply a drop on a div?

Hard to google because the keywords just give you the list apart articles.

I had trouble with that one. Found it very confusing. If no one has a better option I will try to slog through it again.

I now know why I found that method confusing. I have a complicated 3 columns that need shadows each and the top part is only partially colored background. Ugh...
But I'm getting there.
