Should we still style websites for IE6 as I am having problems with my clients about the cost?

There is already at recent topic about this in the HTML and browsers section.

You should definitely make all content visible and accessible to internet explorer 6. The question is whether you should bother fixing all the rendering bugs it has to make it look identical to a standards compliant browser. It's your choice, but it's probably best to get most of the important things the same, and it's not as necessary for minor things, such as spacing, width, scrolling/overflowing containers, bad style inheritance, and other minor stuff.

It's highly recommended to style for standards compliant browsers first, then use a special stylesheet and javascript in conditional comments fo rIE.
