doubt abt table borders

In our new design with CSS, the border of a table doesnt appear correctly.

The overall border appears but the border between rows in the table doesnt appear properly in IE but it works fine in FF.

What could be the reason.

IE6 didn't support CSS border styling on <tr>s. Not sure about IE7. Styling the descendant <td>s should work fine.
