Background Image Problem Firefox and Opera

I am having problems with the background image (b.gif) which is set in the body tag.

When I resize the browser window in Firefox or Opera, what happens is that the browser shifts the background image to the left, forcing it out of alignment with the rest of the page. However if the browser is maximized everything appears fine.

I've tested in Safari 3, Firefox 2, and Opera 9. It works completely fine in Safari, but not in Firefox or Opera.

Help anyone?

I'm not sure what the exactly caused the problem, but I was able to correct it by defining a bgcolor for each cell that was affected.
