A left side navigation bar which is 100px across, a right side navigation bar which is 170px wide.
My question is, is it possible to have images in the center automatically resize (to a maximum px width, the actual size of the picture?).
The site I'm making needs to accomidate people who may (be stuck in the early 1990s and) still use 640X480 resolution, the images are currently edited to only 300px wide, but some of them do not look too good on my nice 19", 1600X1200 monitor (some look small).
#centre img {
max-width: 300px;
width: 100%;
} the reason why it might not be applicable is that that’s not supported by IE5&6. If your users are lagging behind on monitor resolution it’s probably safe to assume they’re lagging behind on browsers as well.
Of course, you could always adopt a Javascript solution...

Ah, JScript, my old nemesis, the language that made me drop my first course to keep my 3.5GPA (Back when it was JavaScript2).
The battle lines are being drawn, my old enmity. You and I, by the playground swings in an hour (or two, depends on how long the dogs take to go do their business). It has come down to this. This time, you will NOT overcome me. You will NOT push me away.
CRY HAVOC AND LET SLIP THE DOGS OF WAR!
(and thank you for the response, Robin!). :)
