how apply css for Gridview Pager style

anybody known how to do this?

i had created css for gridview pager style

.paging{
font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size:8px;
font-weight:bold;
text-decoration:none;
color:#000000;
}

but the paging in the gridview is not effected..

What's a 'gridview pager'? Could you post your HTML?
