Opera 6.04 questions

CSS bugs and WW buttons missing

Hello WW. I finally downloaded Opera and I like it, but "post new topic" button and others are gone when I use it here. I couldn't find anything in preferences to fix it. Also, I'm testing a new site layout using full CSS and having some positioning problems.

So, here are my questions.

1. How do I set my Opera browser up so I can see the buttons at WW
   
2. In my main nav bar, I have a.nav width set so the background color change(on mouse-over) spans the width of the bar(instead of text link only), but it won't work in Opera.
   
3. a.cat text-align: center; also doesn't work.
   
4. And finally, why is my absolute positioning rendering different in Opera?

You'll have to login again - the forum must be using cookies and your new browser doesn't have one yet.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago after cleaning up cookies on IE. It was quite mystifying!

"I see" said the blind man. Didn't even notice I was in guest mode. Thanks vmcknight. That's one down, 3 to go. I'm thinking of trying a fluid version to see if it renders any better.

Birdman, I use Opera as my primary browser for surfing AND for testing my html code. Opera is also my main CSS test browser. It is immensely useful for me.

I just recently added three new custom buttons to my main toolbar: History, Cache, and Drives. The drives button lets me navigate my local drives faster than Explorer (Windows) and allows quick preview of new pages and then I can create a linked window to test all the page links.

Also as you know by now, Opera has a built-in link the the W3C Validator which even allows you to perform validation checks on temporary preview pages that programs such as Homesite, DW, and other editors generate.

Finally, the ability to preview a new page and then disable CSS to see how your unstyled content displays is a tremendous asset. This is one of my personal favorites.

Thanks papabaer. That's cool! I was checkin' your site out earlier this morning. Still trying to get those buttons on, though.
