I've tested it on five PC's running XP using IE 6, Mozilla 1.4, Netscape 7.1 and Opera 7.2 everything works as intended except on one machine. When the page is loaded into either IE or Mozilla (I haven't tested other browsers on this particular machine) it displays the content for half a second then the browser crashes and closes. Does anyone else get this behavior?
I have no idea why this is happening. Could this be due to some windows xp setting? Something wrong with my CSS?
Also I haven't tested in IE 5.5 because I'm finding it difficult to install IE 5.5 on my box currently has IE 6 installed. Is it possible to have both versions installed on the same box? I haven't implemented the box model hack because I can't test it. <Eeek!>
Thanks
Rich

Because IE is part of Windows and replaces core files, you can't have more than one version without issues, if at all. You need different computers - OR a multi-boot system to accomplish multiple versions of IE. Netscape, I used to actually run two versions of it on the same computer (same OS) and it worked. IE is more stubborn. Other MS products installed on that computer also rely on the IE components.
I've found that some 3rd party products won't work without the current version of IE and choke if you attempt to install another version in another location.
This is all one reason I run a network with multiple computers, operating systems, etc. (not to mention, if something crashes, oh-well, I go to another computer.)
