Want to decrease page size by using <div> vs table

Hello,

I want to decrese page size by using <div> vs table. I read that the page size could be reduced by using the <div> tag instead containing the data within a table.

I searched but coudn't find out how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you be a bit more specific? - What exactly will be in your table? and when you say "decrease page size" do you mean the way it looks or the amount of bytes?

Sure, Nick. I want to decrease the page size's bytes...so it may fair better in the SERPs. I like the current look but I read in an seo thread that decreasing the page size maybe one factor in Google's algo.
