Well I don't see it benefitting the end user, trying to find information, but its going to be a boon for plagarism. Pick a content site you like (about.com perhaps) and re-write the entire contents for your own site.

Theres a new type of spam in town, and its called ArticleBob

From the Demo:

"A whole computer software industry sprang up to aid site owners to garner the upper hand on internet behemoths such as Time Warner (NYSE:TWX), and Microsoft’s (NYSE:MSFT) MSN. This industry (typically known as, 'search engine optimization') gained ground before 2000,” maintains Mr. Harrold.

"A whole software marketplace sprang up to help site owners to gain an edge on web giants like Time Warner (NYSE:TWX), and Microsoft's (NYSE:MSFT) MSN. This industry (generally known as, 'search engine optimization') gained ground before 2000," adds Mr. Harrold.

I knew this would come, infact I thought it would come sooner, here are two different pages, can you tell which one is by articlebot?

This is really bad in my opinion. Now less and less people will create original content since when they do 50 people with articlebot will swoop in and paraphase (plagarize) the entire document.

This is *really* bad. If Google et al turned up the duplicate content filter to help manage this travesty of the written word, a lot of people could be unfairly burnt in the process, searchers included.

Prairie: What do you mean? Could you elaborate a bit?

If google updated their duplicate content filter to take synonyms into account and the wordspacings between keywords then it would be fine.

Hi duderockstar, [webmasterworld.com...] discusses some of the implications of google's ability to prune out similar information from sets of its results.

Livenomadic: Article Bot replaces not just words. It replaces words with phrases like, "I ran" can become, "I am running". Can you elaborate on the "keyword spacing" concept?

Prairie: Thanks for the link! I'll check it out.
