There is not much real content that is free. There are a number of headline services that will list headlines where you place html code. However, they take people to their site to read the stories.
If there are certain companies or organizations in your field, they often provide press releases that you may use. I wouldn't copy them completely, but add a litte. For example:
American Widgets announced today that " here you start the info from the press release. Later add:
American Widgets also stated that " and you add more of the release. Of course, there is stuff at the bottom of the release, such as press contact information, that would not go onto your site. You may also want to edit for size.
Many companies and organizations have links on their sites such as "press" or "press room". Often you have to go to a link "About Us" to get to the press link.
You can also find news about your particular field from other sources (news.google.com is good), read the story, find the source, and get information from the sources, often in the form of a press release or maybe a reply to an e-mail.
I know it takes time, but the more of the story that you can write, in your own words, the better.
