Hello Everyone

This is my first post here so be nice.

Background:
I run a free public comic book information website as part of my personal website. I have been for the last few years getting summaries with permission of the authors for specific comic book issues. But this has been a very slow and tedious process for me. I usually look for summaries that are 2 to 3 paragraphs in length and that I feel describe the comic book issue so that a person who reads it can get a good idea what happened in that issue. Finding and getting authors permissions for these summaries have been painful and a major time drain for me. So I am starting to thinking about paying for summaries so I can fill in the gaps of issues without summaries on the website. So you know search engine placement is not on the top of my worry list, but I do like my website to be used and just by having a lot of decent quality content usually takes care of search engine traffic. This website is a work of love for me I do not have any plans in the near future to make it into a money maker.

Question:
Now with that out of the way I am just trying to get a feel for issues that I should lookout for if I start getting freelance content and the price range I should expect for this content. And for those which ask why I don't write my own I just say I suck at it and leave it at that.

FYI, you don't need to get the author's permission to post a summary of a comic book's content (or a summary of any book's content, for that matter).

Not your question, I know, but should save you some time and effort.

Thanks hunderdown.

Its not the comic book author who I am geting permission from to do summaries. Its geting permission from the person who's summary I found wish to use on my site that I am asking permision from. Finding Summaries and geting permission from the Summary Authors what kills alot of my time. I just trying to use my time more wisely if possible.
