Would would happen if I registered a site to someone elses's name?

Hi, I would like to register my site to another person's name, this name I will pick at random. This I know sounds slightly shady but I can assure the reasons are sound (just too long to explain). Anyway, I was wondering whether there is any chance of me getting into trouble because of this? Thanks

Without knowing whose name you're registering the site in, what kind of site it is, or why you're doing it, it's not really possible to answer your question.
There is a rule that your domain registration information is supposed to be true and correct, so potentially you could get in trouble for that alone, but I don't see a whole lot of enforcement of that.
