The new entity has been created by Moreover to more easily manage the network of websites that have integrated webfeeds.

Under the transfer, current website operators who wish to continue using the free service will need to register with FeedDirect to obtain replacement code. Those failing to do so will face immediate termination of the service without any further warning.

Good find, Shak. While FeedDirect claims to offer the same service as Moreover, it doesn't look like they have keyword-based headlines. Moreover let you use something like "widget collecting" as a filter in selecting headlines, which was fairly useful for a specialty site. Unless I'm missing something, FD only has category-based feeds. It looks like FD will be feeding Adwords ads, too.

The feeddirect terms of service regarding google made me chuckle.

Ad based feeds may be attractive for low end and personal sites but I am doubtful that many business class sites would go for it.

You can use <snip> to create feeds based on a specific keyword. Just do a news search and look at the XML icon. There is a reader on the XML page. The paid feeds offer more flexibility and configuration options.

Well that's a fantastic find. I'm quite sure that would have blind sided me since our feeds were set up here before I started working here... Going to have to figure out what to do now...
