Finding Writers

I am in need of having many small non-fiction pieces written, over time, for one of my sites. If I were to take on the task myself, it will be years before the project is complete. Unfortunately, the site has a very limited budget right now.

So I'm looking for individuals who are interested in participating because they think it's fun, or they want to see their name in attached to a publish work, or even because they want a springboard into larger possibilities for their upcoming writing career. I think it would be ideal, and even more appealing, if such people had an interest in the subject matter.

Is there an online resource that someone here can recommend that would assist me in finding such people?

You might want to pursue college students who are working toward creative writing degrees. If you contacted Universties in your area both in the English department and Communications department, they could assist you with reaching students who want to do writing exercises for credit.

Jessicathe....... is quite correct! FInd College kids who have a lot of spare hyours n who might cherish their name getting published on Web. There is hardly any space for pro writers (as me) to compose articles for free.

BTW what taste of articles r u looking for? A little help (here n there) can be adjusted. See if u contact me back. And please mention the subject line clearly.

I asked a similar question a while back and got some great advice. Here is a link to that thread:

If this is for an existing site with regular readers/visitors, you might also solicit from your existing readership. You already know they're interested in the subject matter, and some small percentage are bound to be good writers.

Good luck.

I suggest writing the content in your own words and forward it to a "professional" writer. You might find one on guru dot com, elance or freelance. It all depends, however, on the type of web site you own. If it's business-oriented, then you might hire a textual content optimizer. If it is similar to an e-zine, use your friends and or site members. And if your on-line location is actually a personal web page, try writing the content all by yourself.
