How to Generate Publicity for Original Website Content?

Looking to gain greater readership

Our company has this great business site with lots of content geared to entrepreneurs. We're fully SEO'd and have great positions in the SE's...

But we are wondering... what other avenues are there to expand our readership? We're kind of new to the content biz and looking for ideas.

Anyone have experience with getting the content in front of those who may be looking for it?

A few quick thoughts:

1) Encourage others to use part or all of your articles on their sites; or, offer to customize content for the other sites, as long as they link to you.

2) Issue selected content in the form of a press release.

3) Make your content available as a feed so that other sites could list your latest article titles on their site.

Search for one of the many sites that list and archive articles for publishers to use. Website, ezine, and newsletter publisers pick up these articles to provide content for their readers. In return the author gets credit and a link to their site.
