If you're going to copy somebody

at least try to do it well...

Since the matter has been resolved and the content removed - I thought I'd let you in on a funny little story.

I found out that a company (not, for once, in some far flung country, but in the same country) had copied, word for word, 6 or 7 pages from one of the sites I run. Not funny so far, eh? It is a pretty common scenario around here and I've had it happen 2 or 3 times myself - somebody in Thailand copied an entire site once - but this time it was different.

The person had copied the pages but had neglected to take out our company name... The pages were literally strewn with references to our site. And it was not a 'one man show' website - it was a business employing 20+ people in the same city as us!

A quick letter and the content was gone - but come on - if people are going to do this sort of thing then at least try to do it properly!
