Hi webmasters, I've been creating content for years (since 1998), but in the recent ones I've been stuck on writing, not feeling motivated or interested on creating more content, tired by the research, reviews, writing, posting, etc. Even created a thread about this here, not even sure if it's writers block.
Do you remember the Kindle? (I guess it's ok to mention the product name, right?), or in general "book readers"?, yes, it's related to the topic. I remember the premises for the product design and features, the UX, etc., basically: providing a simple interface without obvious distractions like battery life going down, or weak wifi signal, paper like look, easy to read, long lasting battery, and NOT including a fully feature web browser to avoid distractions. Well, it sounded "meh" to me, as I read a lot in digital and love paper.
During the beginning of 2023 there was a family situation so I bought a Kindle and gave it away as a gift for someone much older, and first, I loaded some books and interesting web articles / news, including some from one of my websites. Surprisingly, my eyes felt drawn to reading, even my own content, and I read... and I finally felt the desire to write again. The premises of "without distractions" kicked in. Even felt motivated to bring it to discussion here but didn't, and then... found some youtube videos about some guy talking about productivity, and he laughed saying "yeah, you are not going to believe this... but yes, get a (Kindle) book reader", and continues to explain the impact this thing has had on his studies and productivity.
I can confirm, what about you? what works for you?
