Earlier this week a number of music videos were removed from YouTube. It was temporary and only lasted about an hour and a half before they were back up.
All were South Korean and one video by PSY, who was famous for Gangnam Style being the first to a billion views was suspended. BLACKPINK had a 600 million view video removed. BTS, the largest boy band in the world were also affected alongside Big Bang, Red Velvet and TWICE. None of these are small artists. They are on a number of record companies so it does not appear to be an attack on one firm.
It seems a company in India had filed the copyright claims and the videos were blocked by the YouTube systems.
Does the YouTube copyright system need an overhaul? Do you think they rely too much on automation?
