The E.U.'s proposed copyright directive, in particular Article 11 and 13, has drawn an online protest from Wikipedia Italy for one day this week, with the site going offline to site visitors. Visitors didn't see their encyclopaedia entry, they saw a message in Italin which, when translated, read, "Wikipedia itself would be at risk of closing."
