Just for everyone's information:
This is an extract of the response I received from the Yahoo copyright people claiming that search results are now Bing's responsibility.

The email came back from copyright@yahoo-inc.com which is the contact email listed at [copyright.gov...]

As you may be aware, these search results are provided to Yahoo! by
Microsoft Corporation's Bing search service. Please contact them
directly as explained below for any notices of claimed copyright
infringement related to algorithmic or Sponsored Search results.

Microsoft's Designated Agent for copyright can be reached:

* via email at dmcaagnt@microsoft.com
* via phone at (425) 703-5529

Please see Microsoft's Notice and Procedure for Making Claims of
Copyright Infringement at [microsoft.com...]
for more information.

Perfectly logical..

How would yahoo remove an item from serps which they neither create nor control..thus they refer you to the creator and publisher of those serps..
