Anyone had recent experience (UK ) with demands from these people? It appears that the image was provided to us by a third party ( major US corporate ).
If we demanded the same for people copying our sites I estimated we would make about a million !

It has been happening now for about seven years and nothing much has changed during that time. It has been discussed in here several times over the years.
Yes I read those, but they are a bit old, I was looking for an update or more recent experience, given certain court cases in the UK recently.

There have been no related court cases in the UK that I am aware of recently. Can you provide some detail?

Not directly related but companies getting IP addresses of possible illegal downloads and sending out "demands" at £700 a pop, recent High Court ruling end of March I think. Same as a certain law firm about 2 years ago sent out 20,000 letters and the solicitor got suspended.

@edge
I know about that one.
It is now DECEMBER :) so a quick update - Getty refused to answer my original email. Got a letter from a debt collector in Cardiff UK who doesn't have an Office of Fair Trading licence, two letters in fact one a '5 days' or else, sent them copy of the email .. no reply. I guess they don't need a licence if it's a demand ! I also sent them a much higher demand for violating my copyright by downloading and distributing copies of my site electronically and on paper for intended commercial gain. The 5 days passed weeks ago...
