I have two websites, a .com and a .nl version
In the .com website, the content is in English and for the Netherlands version, the content is being translated.
Is there a possibility of duplicate content issue in this case? If so, what do I do to prevent this?

Duplicate content means the same content. If the content is translated to another language, then it is no longer the same content.

I just remember that the two versions have the exact design and structure. Could this result in a duplicate content issue ?

No. The content -- the words -- are different.
