How to link to Flickr images whilst giving visitors a visual preview

copyright issues

I want to point my visitors to the best 5 Flickr pictures I find on a particular tourist attraction. I want to do this for 50 attractions. How can I give my visitors a small preview of the images without infriging on the photographer's copyright?

I could, of course, include a plain text link to the Flickr images but I know that with images people won't be as enticed to click on a text link as they would on a thumbnail.

I'm not talking about pinching other people's photos. I want the photographer to get the full credit for the photo, which is why the links would go to the individual Flickr page.

I'm talking about recommending a really good photo as you would recommend a really good website. Whereas it's easy to use words and text links to describe and recommend a website, it's not so easy to do the same with a picture when thumbnails speak a thousand words.

I was wondering if there's a way to embed Flickr images on your website as you would with YouTube in a way that satisfies copyright and retains the link to the original Flickr page. I've only found apps to embed your OWN pictures.

Short of contacting every individual photographer who may or may not reply/agree to let me use a tiny thumbnail (as an alternative to a text link to their photo), what time-effective options are there?

Again, I'm not talking about stealing photos, I'm talking about recommending photos whilst trying to give visitors a visual preview.

I have no other options to suggest but I can imagine that the owners want their photos to be seen by everyone but have no other place to put them then on Flickr.
Therefore they might actually be chuffed if you contacted each of them, asking for permission and explaining why. Even give them the link to a demo page to show the final result you intend.
