A couple of years back I set out to add an extensive FAQ to one of my sites. So I decided to do some research. It seemed that every FAQ I found used the "5 W's" system:

"Where is the best place to find keyword1"
"Where is the best place to find keyword2"
"Where is the best place to find keyword3"

I always got frustrated by needing to plow through the boiler plate phrases before getting to the gist of things (keywords). There was an additional problem of alphabetizing.

Then I found a study conducted by a UNI, and that got me headed in the right directions.

I worked the format details a bit and came up with a system.

Keyword1 - where can I find the best ...
Short answer: A brief answer .. (link) long answer

Keyword2 - where can I find the best ...
Short answer: A brief answer .. (link) long answer

Keyword3 - where can I find the best ...
Short answer: A brief answer .. (link) long answer

-It's easy to alphabetize the keywords.
-Makes for initially compact pages
-And it subscribes to the philosophy, "Why use a paragraph when a sentence will do?"

Maybe some of you will find this useful.

I sure do. Right now things are slow and I've been coming up with projects for myself. Doing a FAQ would be a good one, and I like this way of organizing it. Thanks!
